I'm just wondering if there's some sort of setting/option that I can use to make it run fast when IT IS plugged in. Installed memory (RAM): 4.00GB (2.97GB usable) I called tech support and they said it's normal for the laptop to make that sound but they wouldn't tell me how to turn it off. Everything about it is fine, except whenever I plugin the power cord it makes a single beeping noise. I can only play for short periods of time before I need to stop, pause the emulator, plug in my charger and wait until back to <90% battery, before I can start playing again and then I get to watch my battery drain. I recently got a new laptop, Acer Aspire 5253-BZ493 with Windows 7. The sucky thing about this problem is because my laptop has very crappy battery life (even with lowest power usage in power management, I only manage to get a solid hour and half of gameplay). It happens with all the games I play on Desmume, from dragon quest, pokemon black, etc. This is all I have really done because I'm not that tech savvy.

I have frame skip set to auto-minimize skipping and set to value of 3. I've gone through and optimized my emulation and sound settings for best possible speed. Even when I change to high priority (under task manager > processes) it makes no diff. I've gone through all my power options and tweaked here and there but still no changes. However, when I plug it into the charger, it becomes really laggy (FPS drops down to 25-30). The problem is that, while running Desmume v9.8 x86 it will run smoothly (FPS around 50) when my laptop is NOT plugged in. I've searched a lot for an answer online as to why this was happening, but was unable to find a fix. Hello, just wondering if anyone could help me out with this issue.
